SureWaves introduces media convergence solutions
SureWaves, a group company of Bangalore-based IndusEdge
Innovations, has recently introduced revolutionary media
convergence solutions, aimed at driving customer engagement.
SureWaves has the ability to combine TV content with web,
out-of-home displays and mobile phones in a unique
manner. These solutions are being targeted at organisations
in retail, banking, transport, hospitality, health care, expos and
government projects where a customised communication
channel to drive customer or viewer engagement is beneficial.
SureWaves is also positioned to partner existing out-of-home
display networks by creating a network of networks using
its unique solutions, and driving higher levels of viewer
engagement.
SureWaves has cutting edge technology, developed in partnership
with Plasmanet of the UK, to distribute content and advertising
onto a range of remote display screens, in real time. The content
can be any combination of live or recorded TV, internet feeds,
flash files, powerpoint or any internal communication material
of an organisation. It plans to create communication channels
customised to the client organisation, in terms of content and
screen design. The communication channel has easy-to-use tools
that can help manage the content and advertising in real time.
Another very unique feature is the ability of customers to interact
with the screens via their mobile phones. Using Bluetooth
technology, SureWaves screens not only educate the customers but
also engage them by allowing a two-way interaction with the screen.
This information can be acted upon then and there via Bluetooth or
can even be acted upon over a normal GPRS connection later on.

Intelix, manufacturer of audio/video
equipment and software, recently released
the DIGI-DVIT2R-F system, which
transmits DVI video from a single source
to two remote destinations over twisted
pair cabling.
“DVI signals are typically very difficult to
distribute, its cables are limited in length
and DVI distribution amplifiers often choke
on EDID and DDC signals. The Intelix
DIGI-DVIT2R-F solves both problems with
a convenient, integrated solution,” explains
Steve Cohan, Intelix CEO.
The Intelix DIGIDVIT2R-
F system
transmits highdefinition,
1920x1080
resolution DVI-D signals up to 220 feet
using a single shielded Cat 6 cable. The
system includes one dual output send
balun, one receive balun, and two power
supplies. The send balun effectively splits
a single DVI input to two twisted pair
outputs. In addition, the send balun also
