Things get set to launch InfoComm Asia
2008 from 19-21 November at Hong Kong
Convention & Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong.
Around 226 companies from 20 countries
including three group pavilions–Singapore,
Taiwan and USA–will take part in the pan-
Asian anchor event. Dedicated to the pro-
AV industry, the event is expected to attract
thousands of potential trade representatives,
such as system integrators and professional
end-users from various industries like
building & facility management, leisure &
entertainment, corporate & IT, transportation,
education, etc.
AV applications engineered for the Asian markets
will be one of the major highlights during the
mega event. Witnessing an array of AV and
integration products on display like
digital signage and display systems,
command and control equipment, HD
conferencing, information processing,
management and display systems,
InfoComm Asia 2008 will be a landmark
event that would facilitate those industry
people searching for viable AV solutions.
Summit programme
In an attempt to provide deeper insight
of digital signage, InfoComm Asia
2008 Summit comprising educational
seminars, manufacturers’ presentations,
industry-focused conferences and
technical site visits will be held on the
sidelines of the three-day event. Key
component of the industry conferences
will be technical visit programme to give
participants a better appreciation of AV
application in various aspects.
Jay Rogina, CTS, InfoComm presidentelect
and CEO of Spinitar will be
keynote speaker on the topic ‘Digital
Signage: Why do it? What are the
gotcha’s? Who, what, when and where?’
Other attractions at the summit include
certain tips on how to grow digital
signage business to be delivered by
the Minnetonka-based company
Broadsign International while
the pioneer of digital signage
solution Scala from Philadelphia
will discuss a topic Digital Signage
Open Road: Turbo-Charging
the Scala Solution with IADEA
Hybrid Signage Engine.
Digital signage pavilion
A special pavilion has been
dedicated to digital signage to
showcase latest systems from
the industry’s leading players
like AMX, C-nario, Lighthouse
Technologies, 1-2-1 View,
Broadsign, Cayin, Medialon,
DT Research, Dynascan, IEI
Technology, LG Electronics,
Oripix, Scala, Sharp-Roxy,
Vega Technology and Vivitek.
The leaders will present their
outstanding digital signage
solutions including interactive
touch-screen panels, indoor
and outdoor display systems,
content creation and management
software, viewer validation tool,
and scaling platforms.

et4 Pavilion: Specified as
a unique spot at InfoComm Asia 2008, et4
Pavilion will showcase the latest AV hardware
and software applications including highimpact
media such as immersive, 3D and
large-format LED display and projection
systems, live events, architectural video and
other high techs. The display will also include
touch-panel control systems to automate
and streamline lightings and AV equipment
presented by notable companies like AMX,
Crestron, Barco, Lighthouse, Beyerdynamic,
Bowers and Wilkins, Christie, Extron, Kramer,
Lighthouse, Medialon and Projection design.
iHS Pavilion: Smart home systems will be main
focus in this pavilion. Led by CEDIA (Custom
Electronic Design & Installation Association),
other major international brands presenting
their technological excellences at this pavilion
are Ammamsic, Lutron, Cinetron, Milestone
AV, Anthony Gallo Acoustics, Liberty Wire,
RTI, Kordz, DVI, TC Plus and Elite Screens
famous for providing cutting-edge solutions to
homebuilders.
HD Conferencing and Telepresence
Pavilion: This pavilion will showcase
applications of high-definition conferencing
and telepresence technologies. Prominent
companies like Ultra Active Technologies
(Polycom), Vega Technolgies (Tandberg and
Clearone), Tom Lee Engineering (Yamaha),
Extron, Beyerdynamic, BxB, Danish
Interpretation Systems, Sennheiser, Shure,

Harrods retail outlet wears new digitised look
Apart from being a home to the world’s leading luxury fashion brands, Harrods’ latest retail outlet opened in March this year at Heathrow Terminal 5, London did get a new digitised look. Remote Media (www.remotemedia.co.uk) has been appointed to provide a digital signage solution to drive 10 impressive 71-inch displays across the 11,000 sq ft fashion store.
