Optoma introduces world’s
first Pico handheld projector

Do you believe that pictures on your mobile phone could blow up to 100 times using a handheld projector? It is now an easy practice because Optoma has introduced the first Pico projector based on DLP Pico chipset, which is an ideal companion to ultra-portable media devices, such as iPods, PDAs, smart phones, digital cameras, etc. Said Jon Grodem, director of Product Management for Optoma, “Pico Projector is the next step in sharing visual media for today’s ultra-mobile consumers. Fitting in your shirt pocket, Pico Projector can display pictures, videos or any content from a mobile media player or smart phone.

Utilising the latest LED technology resulting in a colourful and vivid image, the small and powerful unit in the projector is based upon DLP assuring the highest possible contrast.”

Pico projector was first exhibited at InfoComm 2008 held from June 14-20 in Las Vegas and it will be marketed with limited distribution in Europe and Asia in late 2008 and worldwide launch will take place in 2009. Avail further information of the product on www.optomausa.com
