Symon introduces new digital player
Recently launched Symon Multiplex
Appliance (SMA)-3000 media player
was a specialised Symon Digital
Appliance (SDA) media player with up
to 12 independent video output capacity
capable of sending one to twelve digital
signals to a corresponding number of
discrete channels or LCD screens. “SMA-
3000 is a perfect fit for any business
or hotel with multiple conference or
ballrooms and any corporate office where
there is a need to identify the event or
who is occupying a meeting room,” said
Charles Ansley, president and CEO of
Symon. He further mentioned that the
company continues to expand its software
and hardware capabilities in order to offer
creative solutions to potential clients who
would economically solve real business
issues with reliable and easy-to-use
products.
SMA-3000 is designed to be a rack
mounted unit (3U) media player for
displaying meeting and conference room
schedules on 4 x 3 aspect ratio door
displays. The player can integrate to
scheduling software via Symon Software
Release 10.0 and automatically updates
the content on remote non-intelligent
LCD screens with schedule and event
information.
As a turnkey solution, Symon offers LCD
wall units that connect to the SMA-3000.
This LCD display kit includes all the
components to quickly and easily set up a
15-inch monitor displaying digital event
information from a SMA-3000. The
company also offers a selection of data
collection software interfaces designed
for proprietary property software, open
standards (ODBC), and Microsoft
Outlook or Delphi.
