New 5-inch touch panel by AMX

AMX, the leader in providing simplified solutions in audio/visual control industry, expands its portfolio of wide screen intercom enabled touch panels with the launch of its new 5-inch Modero Wall/Flush Mount Touch Panel with Intercom (NXD-500i). Being one of the most advanced 5-inch touch panel in the world, the new product is measured only 2-inch deep and connected with just one cable collectively for audio, video, data and power.

Commenting on the world’s simplest 5-inch panel, Rashid Skaf, president and CEO of AMX said, “NXD-500i is the latest touch panel to join the AMX intercom-enabled family,” mentioning that the panel is the company’s first power over Ethernet panel, and so over a single Cat5, we are now providing voice, audio, video, control and power. “I am extremely proud of my design team for packaging this feature rich product into such a small package, while still focusing on simplifying the installation process”, he added.

The small yet powerful NXD-500i will be a hallmark of innovation in the world’s biggest AV projects. The touch-panel could display motion JPEG over IP, integrating a digital, full-duplex intercom for panel-to-panel communication via any other ‘i-Series’ Modero Touch Panel and AMX Metreau Entry Communicator. As it could easily fit inside narrow walls, NXD-500i is ultra thin and can be installed inside two-inch walls with new mounting system utilises locking tabs allowing quick and easy installation.
